More Than Numbers
When a first generation working college student came to me for tax preparation, she was navigating more than just school. She made a decent amount of money, but she was also paying a lot in taxes, buying books, covering dorm fees, and taking care of her disabled brother while their parents remained in Persia. On top of everything else, she was trying to figure out the U.S. tax system without anyone to teach her how it worked.
She needed more than someone to prepare a tax return. She needed someone willing to listen, help her understand her situation, and guide her through the process with care. Together, we worked through her tax information, organized her documents, and reviewed the details of her financial and educational circumstances to ensure everything was in order. I helped her better understand the tax preparation process and identify the credits and deductions she might qualify for. What once felt confusing and stressful became a more manageable experience.
But my support didn’t stop at tax preparation. Recognizing that she also needed help with important immigration paperwork, I provided notary services to help her move forward with those documents as well.
By the time we finished, she had more than organized paperwork. She had greater clarity, a sense of direction, and the reassurance that she didn’t have to figure everything out alone.
That’s what this business means to me. It’s not just about filing taxes or putting numbers on a form. It’s about helping real people who are trying to figure things out, especially when they don’t have anyone to show them the way. Sometimes, all someone needs is the right person to help them get everything in order and remind them that they don’t have to figure it all out alone.
That’s the kind of service I want to provide to every person who trusts me with their business.
