Attn: New Clients
Please upload your previous year 1040 & tax transcript here!
Before I start your return, I review last year's return and your IRS transcript to make sure you don't owe the IRS anything. A balance from a past year can be taken right out of this year's refund, so checking first protects your refund and lets us plan ahead with no surprises.
What to upload
- Last year's Form 1040: the full federal tax return you filed last year.
- Your IRS Account Transcript: shows any balance you owe, payments, and penalties.
How to get your transcript from the IRS website
- Go to irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript.
- Choose Get Transcript Online and sign in, or create an account with ID.me.
- Select the reason “Federal Tax”, then choose Account Transcript for last year.
- Download or screenshot it, then upload it here.
Can't get online? Choose Get Transcript by Mail on the same page, and it arrives in 5 to 10 days. You can also find your 1040 in your IRS online account at irs.gov/account.
